Unknown Status Indicator...

I have an interesting problem.   During a call only, right next to the antenna bars I  have a box that has a slanted line through it. The box is half black and half blue.

Thank you for any help that you can give me.

I believe that indicator is to tell you that your earpiece on the device is active.  When you switch to speakerphone (alt+$), is disappears and the speakerphone icon appears in the upper left hand corner.

Hope this info helps.

Re: Unknown Status Indicator...

I don't think that is what it is for. I am having the same problem and my sister has the same phone as me a blackberry 8330 and she doesn't have this box. Got any other ideas? It is really annoying me not knowing how to make it go away.

Re: Unknown Status Indicator...

The icon is the indicator for enhanced audio options.. If you hit he Blackberry key during a call and choose 'Enhance Call Audio' and select 'Boost Bass' or 'Boost Treble', this icon will appear.  You can also set the default by opening the Phone application, hitting the Blackberry key, choosing 'Options', then 'General Options', and look at the last option on the list 'Enhance Call Audio'

Re: Unknown Status Indicator...

You have to go into your Phone/Call Log icon. From in there hit your menu button to get to Options, then into General Options
