Recently purchased an unlocked verizon bb 9630 tour. I have connected it to my verizon account and I have a data plan, but i cannot connect to the internet. There isnt even a browser icon on the phone. How do I set up the network? Verizon doesnt let you have a bb unless you pay for a data plan, it would be pointless to have it without internet working!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!!
I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 2 and 3each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step...if any step does not complete as written, then STOP and fall out to the end):
1) Register with VZW
2) Register HRT
3) Resend Service Books
4) Batt Pull Reboot
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you will need to work with VZW...I do not know if VZW natively supports the 9630 or not. If they do not, then getting full BB-level services to work will be quite challenging. All BB-level services are a matter of having the proper Service Books on the BB. But, the carrier systems typically only deliver the SBs for those specific BB models that they directly support...so, if VZW does not natively support the 9630, then their system won't push down the necessary SBs. But, again, you need to work with them to be sure.
