I have bought a Back Berry Pear 8120 from AT&T. I did not accept the wireless internet service since this model is WiFi ready and I’m only interested in using it at home or work where I have WiFi connection. I am experiencing a problem, that besides the fact I have called AT&T customer service, being transferred to the Data Transfer specialist from AT&T and done all the steps they have asked me to do, I still cannot get to open any of the following files when downloaded from an email attachment or when copied from the computer to the memory card ( PDF, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, bmp, gif, jpg, etc.). The message I get is that the phone does not support the media format, and if I still would like to save it. Even once, saved, I keep getting the unsupported media format message.
I have tried to look for a solution on the internet, but I can’t find any. This is the first time I use a BlackBerry, and I am sure this is one of the best in the market today, based on the reviews and comments by people I know, which is the reason why I decided to get one, specifically this model for all the specifications and the WiFi capability.
My question would be, is my phone missing any software or does it have any technical problems? I ask for help to solve this situation, and I am sure there is someone who can help me with this.
PS: I can use the WiFi without any problems and can access the internet without any problems.
