Update installed current version Bold 9900

Hello friends!

Saw that there is 7.1.0.1033 version at the website from Vodafone. Downloaded it and tried to install it. Instead of that still have .714. Just to mention BBDM says that there is no update. What can be wrong?

Was the OS properly installed on your computer?

Is vodafone your official carrier? If no, did you delete the 'vendor.xml' file?

Yes, Vodafone is my carrier. And i think that I have installed it properly, the folder is with the current date - had the previous one already but delete it. Asked me for administration permissions, so I deleted it one by one, except two folders - BBBI Drivers and USB drivers. Don't know what to do. Desktop manager says there is no current update. Smiley Sad

I'm more surprised how come neither the phone nor the desktop manager detect the update available.

Since you're sure that the OS was installed correctly to the computer, do the update manually.
First, connect your device to the computer, backup your device using BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

Then go to c:\program files\common files
\research in motion\apploader
And double click 'loader.exe'

No good.

 

Erased everything related with blackbery  software and downloaded the 'new'  version again. Still the same thing - it is installing the current .714 instead of .1033. Begin to think that Vodafone are just wrong and put the old version as an update. Smiley Sad(( But it doesn't make any sence, because it is from blackberry site...
