Update

I am updating a Curve 9360 and it is stuck in the backup phase in SMS....only way I see to stop this is to unplug the phone from the USB. Is this wise? Help!!!

When stuck in the backup phase, disconnecting MIGHT be OK...or it might not. But, at that phase, definitely safer than disconnecting while the OS upload is in progress. It may also be that it's actually proceeding, but will just take a long time due to the size of that database...you may well need to be very patient.
