Debating this is pointless...each business chooses the model that is appropriate to them. Others choose otherwise. This results in the plethora of choice that we enjoy (suffer from???) in our world today. IMHO it is pointless to debate the "why" questions...here we try to stick to the "what" and "how" questions.
