Using 8GB Micro SDHC in 8330 Curve

Hello,

Is anyone using an 8 GB Micro SDHC card in their Verizon Blackberry 8330?

I cannot seem to get a straight answer on whether or not it will work.

Thanks

Re: Using 8GB Micro SDHC in 8330 Curve

Currently the BlackBerry smartphones running the following BlackBerry® Device Software versions will support up to the size listed.

BlackBerry Device Software            Media Card Size Limit

BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.0       Up to 2GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.1       Up to 4GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2       Up to 4GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0       Up to 8GB

It should work. However some people has complained that the 8GB cards have been hit or miss. Hopefully the support will get better with the next release of the OS.

Re: Using 8GB Micro SDHC in 8330 Curve

I have the same problem...have Verizon Wireless Curve 8330 and can not get a Mico SDHC 8gb to work...tried two different cards...I have 4.3 software but to no avail.  It does not recognize the card.  Very frustrating.  I really want to load up with some music and make it my music device as well.  ANYONE GOT A SOLUTION?

Yes,  I have the same deivce as you.  I'm using a 8gb micro sd card with no problems.  Just a little slow when it comes to loading music in the player.

Scraigs,

If you have the right OS as posted by Dfisher: Try formatting the card. I've read in the forums that that maybe your problem.

Hope this helps!
