Using BES through a BIS data plan

Hello all,

As you may notice from the tilte I am new to BB, I did some googling on it but opinions seem to differ on this.

I live in Belgium and work for a US based company, we have personal mobile phone data plans (in Belgium) and then expense them, this means in Belgium that you cannot sign up for a BB BES data plan (only companies are allowed to do that here). I can however sign up for a BIS data plan.

Can I use this BIS data plan to connect to our BES and get my Exchange e-mail/calender/etc ?

I do not want to sync offline or anything like that.

I asked our BES admin this and he believes this is possible, but I am thinking it is not.

Re: Using BES through a BIS data plan

It is not natively possible.

You'd need to use a 3rd party product to do something like AstraSync (ActiveSync on BB) ... but you cannot use native BES without a BES data plan;  just isn't possible.
