VPN connection problem

Hi everyone,


In the last couple of days I have been trying to get my company VPN connection to my new BlackBerry

Bold, now i got the VPN connection configuration right and i assigned to the Wireless profile that i wanted,

and the VPN connects just fine.


The problem is that it seems like other applications on the phone are not aware to this new network interface,

I tried the builtin browser & opera mini to surf to one of our internat websites but with no success.

I have also tried connecting to one of our IRC servers with no success...


The weird thing is that when im using the Wifi Tools, the Ping to those servers works just fine the DNS lookup works

fine as well (works fine i mean its using the VPN connection and being able to ping those internal servers).


Is there some configuration I'm missing or something I need to do to enable the VPN interface on other applications (except for the Ping and DNS Lookup).

When you get the mini opera you already change the APN configuration?

I have my APN configured to the one my carrier is setup to, so its Internet 3G.
