There are no "settings" for instant delivery, I don't think I ever mentioned there were any settings.

 

That address simply doesn't provide instant delivery. Refer to my prior post above.

I have this same problem with my account, I have two hotmail accounts that forward to my BB.  I can not say that one is different than the other, but at times some of my email is delayed up to 24 hours.  Can you tell me if I should change those email accounts to gmail or something else?

Oops, for to say I have a BB curve 8330.  I use verizon as my wireless carrier.

I'm not certain how it would work with a Verizon Blackberry, but with my AT&T Blackberry I have two choices, (1) let BB go get my target email (which seems to occur once every 15 minutes or so), OR set my target email account to "auto forward" incoming mail directly to my BB address (for the AT&T BB the device address is username@att.blackberry.net )  I also set the "leave a copy on server" option so I can pick up my target email again later on my desktop using Outlook or Outlook Express.  This second method provides instant delivery of those target emails without any delays at all.

 

Hope this helps and will work on your Verizon BB too. Please let me know.  I am thinking of switching to Verizon and think this feature is very important.

My company has our own Exchange Server.  It has always pushed mail right away.  But with my new Z10, someitmes it will stack up for a couple of hours, then all come flooding in at once.  Each e-mail shows the time it arrived in Exchange, but that bears no resemblance to when it arrives at my BB.  It appears that sending an e-mail prompts it to download mail it is waiting to receive.  I am frustrated. . . it shoud receive mail right away.  Is there a setting in the Z10 to tell it how often to look for new mail?
