Vibrate only mode

Hi, brand spanking new BlackBerry owner. First smart phone I've ever owned. I have two problems that I have been unable to fumble through so far and am looking for help on them.

1) When putting the phone in "vibrate only" mode it still rings when a contact calls or texts who has a personal notification assigned to it. Is there a way to make sure the entire phone is in vibrate mode?

2) When using the headphones that came with the phone no sound comes out of them but the phone plays out of the speaker. Is there somewhere within the phone I need to go in order to get sound out of the headphones?

Thanks for any and all help and I look forward to learning about the features of this phone.

Re: Vibrate only mode

Ok follow this path: Options>Sounds and Ring Tones>Sounds for Selected Profile> select Vibrate only> Phone - Ring tones> Phone.  Here you will change the ring tone volume to SILENT. Make sure you SAVE and then exit.

That should keep the phone from ringing when in vibrate only mode.
