Re: Video

Look at Options > About, third line down beginning with a "v.4.xxx"

What is your version listed there?

********
OS 4.5 is available to upgrade your BB. It will work find if you follow the directions exactly as posted in the instructions in the following link.

Do a complete backup of your device (using Desktop Manager) before the upgrade process.

For the model 8100, you need:

Re: Video

Maybe you need to give a little more detail of what you need.

Do you just want to move a video from your PC to your BlackBerry?

Or do you want to view live streaming video from the internet connection on your BlackBerry?

Do you have a Media Card installed on the PC?

[ Edited ]

ok, and so do you have Media Card in your Blackberry?

If you don't know, look at Options > Media Card. What do you see there?

I ask these questions because it matters on my answer.

Re: Video

You will additionally want to convert the video file to be optimized for viewing on the BlackBerry.

You might consider using the Media Manager software to do this, or at least another conversion software:

http://www.aone-soft.com/mobile_3gp_video_converter.htm

Then,

1. Go to Options >> Media Card

(some themes or BlackBerrys may call this "Settings >> Media Card")

2. Check the following settings (if they are not listed this way, then change to reflect the following:

a) Media Card Support: On

b] Mass Storage Mode Support: On

c) Auto Enable Mass Storage: Yes

3. Save the settings and exit

Then,

1. Make sure desktop manager is not open

2. Plug the device into the PC using the usb cord

3. A pop up box will open, select Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer

4. Minimize this window (click the - in the upper right hand corner)

5. Open another instance of Windows Explorer

a) Start Menu >> Windows Explorer

6. Navigate to the folder where the file(s) you want to transfer are located

7. Right mouse click on the file(s) and select Copy

8. Open the minimized window (from step 4 above)

9. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the file

10. Right mouse click and select paste

11. The file is now on the microSD card
