Voice Dialing Issue

Hello

 

My Voice Dialing used to worked as i pressed the left key on the side of my blackberry .

now suddenly when i press it shows " Scanning Contacts. Please wait..." and get stuck.

usually it would prompt me to say an action and then a name but now nothing

please help

Well i found out what caused it .

i took out the sim card restarted the bb

and then it worked ! 

so something in the sim card contacts might be causing the problem.

my guess is the synchronization . since maybe i have contacts on my sim and my phone that are paralleled . 

i will try to delete the sim contacts and then back it all up on my pc . i hope it will work.

if not how do i copy all to my sim and delete the the contacts on my phone?

or maybe i should ask this ... where is better to save on the phone or the sim ?

well it happened again

and my previous solution did not work this time.

so now i really don't know what might be causing it.

my only lead is maybe the desktop manager might be causing it in some way 

anyone got any ideas?

Hi, same problem with mine! Tried everything I knew and the same. Contacted my carrier (Bell) and they said this was a common problem and have to wait until BB comes out with an update!

same problem here with telus, just quit working.  I did use the cd a few days back and I think that is what caused the problem.  My wife's still works and I will not hook it up to the computer!  Someone please post if you get this fixed.

Indeed telus for me also. I did downgrade the OS version. Did phone them but did not get get far with the support team. Do not install the update and all works fine.

Telus tech told me to go exchange for a new one since I just got it!

Did that solve the problems? Do you have the new OS and it still works? Just did phone tellus, can swap phones but think the OS update will just kill it again.
