WeatherBug Elite Error 20304

Downloaded Weatherbug Elite, was charged for the purchase, but there was a license key error message. I was told by blackberry to go to My world and repurchase it to solve the purchase problem, but every time I do, it just gives an error message of 20304. Anyone figured out how to resolve this error message?

Can you clarify a few points please?


1) "a license key error message" - can you tell us the exact syntax of the message?


2) "I was told by blackberry" -- how, exactly, did you talk to them? Support for BB's is not provided by RIM...rather, by your carrier...


3) "repurchase"? Are you sure that's what you were told to do? Did you originally purchase via AppWorld? If so, it pretty much prevents repurchasing since that'd be completely unfair to the consumer...


Pending answers to the above, I'm going to recommend the following:



In some cases, it has been discovered that updates/reinstalls (from AppWorld obtained apps) require additional steps in order to install the update. If the update will not install, please attempt this:

  1. Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications > highlight the app > BBKey > Delete
  2. AppWorld > MyWorld > Login > highlight the app (if it shows at all, in any state) > BBKey > Delete
  3. Use either your PC (via Mass Storage Mode) or your BB (via Media > BBKey > Explore) and find any references (folders, files) to the app. Delete whatever you find. Search both your Device Memory as well as your Media Card.
  4. Use this AppWorld user guide link to re-install the app -- a new registration/activation key should then be provided
