Web based Email

My school uses web based email call Surge Mail.  When I try to click the link that says webmail one of two things happen.


1st.....it says that JAVA is not enabled and nothing happens

2nd.....nothing happens at all.


Any ideas?

You will probably need to use the OperaMini browser, it is more compatible with most websites.


I had a similar issue and had to switch to OM just for specific websites.

You can also try enabling Javascript. To do this from your browser press the menu button select options then browser configuration. If that doesn't do it then like jwgraves said you can always install Opera mini. The link to download Opera mini is here. http://www.operamini.com/download/

I had the same problem to begin with. 

  • Open your Browser. 
  • Click your menu/blackberry key. 
  • Select 'Options',
  • then Select 'Browser Configuration'. 
  • Then check the appropriate boxes. 


I had to check both 'Support JavaScript' and 'Allow JavaScript Popups'.  And everything worked fine after that.
