What's app voice msg issue

I Run into this strange issue once in every 2-3 months and might again sound funny.When I listen to music on my phone and if I do get a voice msg it doesn't play,I have to restart or at times reboot the phone.Doesn't happen with BBM voice msgs,so is there a way to delete some files that I am unaware of or do I uninstall or reinstall what's app and see if it resolves the issue.I was told that a antivirus isn't needed on a Blackberry phone as its not susceptible to virus unlike Android or Windows phone.What you suggest!Also as a last resort how do I reinstall the dam OS,I have a Bold 4 9900.Also how do I increase the battery life!

You asked a few questions so let's see if I can tackle them for you.


To delete some files you're unaware of might help and your phone's cache would be a good place to start. Yank out your battery while your phone is powered on then replace it a few seconds later. That will clear your cache and get rid of a lot of unwanted junk.

If that doesn't help, uninstalling and reinstalling the app sometimes helps so go for that if you still encounter issues.

As for an anti irus (sorry, the key between the 'C' and 'B' on my keyboard doesn't work), don't waste your time or money.

To reinstall the OS to your phone, plug your phone in to your PC and open BlackBerry Desktop Software. Click De ice (key still not working) at the top then click Backup and do a data backup. Once that's done, once again click De ice at the top but this time click Restore and load the backup you just did.
