Why blackberry without 1700 band?

Is that a "technical" decision or an "exclusivity" decision?

Technical : its more costly to add more and more frequecy

Exclusivity: Service provider pay a higher price to rim if ris make the device "unusable" to some provider

Your guess?

mine is exclusivity

Re: Why blackberry without 1700 band?

The carriers decide what bands are to be present many times.

T Mobile devices dont play well with other networks, for example and other devices will work on Tmobile, but no 3g service.
