"When we launched CrackBerry.com 10 years ago, we set out to make it a fun and useful destination where BlackBerry Smartphone owners could share their excitement and learn to unleash the full potential of their BlackBerry. A decade later, the CrackBerry community is as active and passionate as ever and I know our knowledgeable members and volunteers will be excited to welcome and assist more BlackBerry owners with their questions."

Is there an option where you can control what times you will be notified for emails and certain times when you can control this?
If so what do I do to set these settings?

What carrier do you have?
you can try to login to your carriers push account via the following link on the PC: mobileemail.<your-carrier>.com
There you can control the eMails pushed to your device.

You have several options.
First, under Options, you can set your BlackBerry to turn Off and On at specifice times under Auto On/Off. On and Off only once per day - Weekdays and Weekends have separate settings.
Second, manually change to a profile that's silent when email comes in - you'll have to remember to switch back though.
You can try it before you buy it - about $17 US.
