Wi Fi Issues with new Torch

I have a new Torch and are generally very happy with it.  I am having some issues with its WiFi though.  It detects WiFi networks no problem but i often get "could not obtain ip address" when i try to connect.  If i try again it often connects but seems to periodically drop its connection.  This is a problem as i am in a zero coverage area at home and the WiFi is the only means that i can stay connected - my previous Bold 9700 always stayed locked onto my home WiFi (when it woke up in the morning for example or as soon as i get home in the evening it connected).  I seem to have to manually keep reconnecting the Torch.   I know the WiFi is fine (I have an ipad that has no issues with it).  Any advice real welcome.

Can anyone help pls, I have a new blackberry torch 9800, the problem seems to be my wi fi i;m picking up the wi fi but can not connect !!!
