Windows 7 and Blackberry 9700 Intellisync error

I have a problem syncing my BB 9700 and Outlook Windows 7 for my Laptop? I was able to do it before now i get "Unknown error reported". There is no reference code, or number or anything.

I am trying to sync my contacts.

Re: Windows 7 and Blackberry 9700 Intellisync error

It did not work I have now encountered the following error

"Error encountered. Error code - 0x8004ffff. Check Documentation"

Regards

I have tried to sync with two other computers to try getting the contact information off the 9700 and it does not work. Two are windows 7, the other is windows XP Pro 2002.

I do not get the error on the XP version, just says complete but no contacts were transfereed?

Re: Windows 7 and Blackberry 9700 Intellisync error

Thanks for the quick reply CDNElmo,

I would check to see if the actually BlackBerry data is causing this issue.

1. Create a backup in BlackBerry Desktop Software.

2. Go into Device>Delete Data in BlackBerry Desktop Software.

3. Choose selected data and click on contacts all and then delete.

Then try the synchronization.

Re: Windows 7 and Blackberry 9700 Intellisync error

I HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH MY TORCH 9800 WHEN I SWITCHED TO A NEW LAPTOP. I HAD TO UNINSTALL THE BB SOFTWARE FROM BOTH OS & DM THEN RE-INSTALL THE SOFTWARE FROM THE ORIGINAL CD AND THE ONLINE LINK.

I CAN NOW SYNC OUTLOOK & MY BB AGAIN.

HOPEFULLY THIS FIX WORKS FOR YOU.

GOOD LUCK!

JDS099

Thank you I solved the problem by getting  rid of the BlackBerry. I am now using the New Android Razr from Motorola. The only thing I miss from the blackberry is the keyboard.

If I were you, I would return the **bleep** Berry. I have called Black Berry for assistance and they wanted me to pay 35$ an hour. I called Motorola and they helped me for free and were polite.

All the problems BB is having I know why, poor support, poor products, and really poor customer relations.

Good bye Black Berry
