There was a minute or less than with lots of evidence of something happening. It was stuck on the memo pad screen for I would say a couple of minutes.

I guess I have more patience, Memo is the last to be done I think, I believe there are other reconciling functions (creating logs) that happen in that step. My advice is to start it and let it run, until finished or obliviously dead. I would let it go 30-40 minutes, depending on the amount of data.

Actually, that did it.  The problem was that a pop-up window had come up, but it was behind the other windows, and she didn't see it.  She had to click OK or something, and now everything is fixed, syncing and everything.  Thanks!
