Work email was set up now I can't receive them

I deleted my original work email account because I thought that's how I could get rid of my signature.  Well when I found out I was wrong about that I tried to re-register my work email.  I can log into the BIS and have a password and username and it shows up as a valid address but I'm still not receiving anything.  Please help.
