Wouldn't turn on/touchscreen doesn't work.

I got a blackberry storm from my friend about 2 weeks ago. When I got it, it worked perfectly, I personalized eveyrthing and I loved the phone. However, this week I was at work and I'm pretty sure the phone died. The red light stayed on, and  when I was charging it in my car, it wouldn't hold a charge. It didn't turn on for 2 days, other than the white screen with the battery. I did a few battery pulls and left it plugged in. Now, it turns on when it wants to but the touchscreen realizes that my finger is there, but it doesn't click. What should I do? I took it to verizon and since I don't have insurance on it, they won't give me a new one.

Re: Wouldn't turn on/touchscreen doesn't work.

Have you left it plugged into a wall charger for a few hours? If so, there are two things that could be happening. One potential problem could be the software on the device. You can try reloading the OS using the steps here:

If that doesn't work, its possible that your battery was damaged when it was fully drained. In this case, a new battery may be in order and should resolve the problem.

I hope that helps!
