When my Blackberry 9320 was set up by the IT dept they made a mistake with the email address for the blackberry ID, and now that I have forgotten my password I can't recover it. I know the answer to the password reset question, but all this does is send a reset to a non-existant email address.
The IT dept typed "glann" when it should have been "glenn" in the email address.
Is there anyway around this?

Unfortunately, in your situation all of the automated methods require access to that email account, which as you say does not exist. If it is at all possible for them to, just for the time needed to correct all of this, make it exist, then that would be your best bet. Once you have the reset complete and again have access to the BB ID account, you can change the email address via this procedure:
