I've been using Yahoo Messenger and it's been working great. Today I tried sending a photo to a messenger contact who I was in a conversation with and I got an error saying that no contacts were available. When I looked at the status of the person I was chatting with, it said offline, which I know was not the case. This doesn't effect text chat. It only becomes an issue trying to send media. Messenger has the status of the person as "offline" so when the phone tries to send a photo, it does not see any one online.
Has anyone noticed this? Is there a fix?
I send photos all day long at work and sending them via IM would be so much better than email. I can receive photos via IM, just can't send until I can get the phone to see the recipient as being "online" or "available".

Anytime random strange behaviors creep in, the best thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, this one suffers from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure. Some have taken to doing this on a recurring basis as a preventive measure.
