Here's the latest:
1. test1 - mark as read in Yahoo - syncs to BB almost immediately
2. test2 - mark as read in BB - still not syncing to Yahoo
3. test3 - delete from Yahoo - deletes from BB almost immediately
4. test4 - delete from BB - deletes from Yahoo almost immediately
So, today, more progess on the Blackberry <--> Yahoo email sync issue but still not fully resolved.

YES, YES, YES...
My yahoo e-mails read on my PC FINALLY sync-up with the BB... and vice versa!!! it took long enough, but i am happy it is fixed!!! happy Friday!!!

Earlier today, from RIM Technical Support (Yahoo Support has not responded to my repeated requests for an update):
Thank you for the update.
Currently Yahoo! is testing the full fix for the reconciliation problem, however no estimated time when the issue will be resolved.
I will keep you up to date once we receive updates.

What I still ABSOLUTELY cannot understand is why this happened in the first place? Everything was working fine until one day it all suddenly stopped working.
What has changed?
Is it Yahoo who changed something?
Or is it RIM who changed something?
Why not go back to the settings that WERE working so the customer base (yes, remember us, the ones that pay for your wages) can get on with what we paid for whilst you sort out your problems?
Better still, I have a really novel idea here, so bear with me if it is a little left field...
WHY NOT TELL YOUR CUSTOMERS WHAT IS GOING ON? EITHER OF YOU?

As of today, it works perfectly again, the 4 options are all synced within 2-3 min. on my BB with Orange - Switzerland (don't think the carrier matters though)
Hope it stays like this! :-)

As of this morning in Los Angeles, syncing between Yahoo mail and Blackberry is working in both directions, and I am grateful. Now, let's hope it stays fixed. Compliments to everyone at Yahoo and RIM who have been working on this problem, and appreciation to all users of this and other forums who have kept the feedback going and pressed the companies to fix this issue.

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally!!! Yahoo e-mails are sync'ing-up with the BB (Verizon)...and vice versa!!! It took long enough but happy that it is working!!! I think we should get some form of credit from our wireless carriers for having to manually delete/sync....ahahha...
Funny thing is that BB Support never notified me to let me know that the problem (have an existing open ticket) has been resolved.....just great!
So, got one problem fixed but now my sent emails aren't showing up in the list anymore and I checked under the General Options that says 'Hide Sent Messages' - (which is set to NO). What gives now??? Anyone else having the same problem??
