I'm about to throw this **bleep** thing through the window!
Here's the situation:
My phone died so I sent it back and got a new phone as a replacement.
I've setup the new phone and restored from blackberry protect.
When I go to Setup > Email Accounts it says:
"A new Blackberry device has been detected. You must move email account(s) to resume email delivery to your Blackberry device. Email delivery to your old device has been stopped."
Then there's a list of my email addresses.
Underneath there's a "Move" button, which I press...
The first email address (run on my own servers) comes up and asks me to enter the password. I enter and press the "Continue" button. All is OK.
The next email address (hosted at gmail.com) comes up and asks me for its password. I enter and again press "Continue".
It then says "To start synchronization of your <email address> contacts and calendar with your Blackberry device type your password".
So I type the same password and press the "Syncronize" button.
Which gives me the error: "Your device encountered a problem with this application's server. Select OK and repeat the action to try again".
I've done this 5 times now and it's still not working.
I press OK (like I have any other option?) which shows me a list of my email accounts. I have two options "Set up another email account" or "Return to setup".
If I return to setup, and exit out, none of my email addresses have added.
What's the point of having a blackberry if you can't read your email?
