'an error has occurred attempting to play media' help! also texrt sounds gone.

I am not very clever with phones im afraid and finding this blackberry 9320 very difficult to figure out. I have taken some videos of my daughter but my phone wont play them back. The phone is less that a month old and it is saying 'an error has occurred attempting to play media'. I dont know whats wrong.

Also the sounds wont work when I receive a text message. They are set up to work and have worked up until today but have decided now not to work.

Any help appreciated.

Hey shellyh24,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Thanks for the question.

I would suggest removing the battery and placing it back in the BlackBerry Curve 9320 smartphone and then test the SMS message ringtone.  Also are you able to play the videos from the computer?  Are these videos saved to your device memory or media card?

Are you able to view other media (music, pictures, etc.)?

I look forward to your reply.

Cheers.
