app error 200

Hi, I have just upgraded the sodtware for my Bold 9900, unfortunately it failed after rebooting.

The meesage on my device is "app error 200".

Now it can not restart even after I took out the battery and rebooting it.

Desktop software also can not connect to device.

Please suggest what i have to do to restart the device.

Please try this Knowledge Base to resolve your issue with this Error :

 

KB11320 : How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device software using BlackBerry desktop software for windows

 

I hope you already have a backup of your device , Or if you device allow first do a backup .

 

Additional Information can be found here :

KB30100 :  "JVM 200" appears on the BlackBerry smartphone.

 

Try it and let us know if you feel any issue.

Hi Junbug213,

 

I had exactly the same happen to me this weekend.

However, I came across this YouTube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0QQljI8v0o - followed it pretty much to the letter and now I have my phone back! On Desktop Manager, I found my update by clicking on the question mark in the top right corner.

I lost a couple of newer contacts that hadn't been saved on my SIM, but apart from that, once I had reloaded App World and signed in, everything was restored.

i have blackberry curve 9300 and i too faced the same problem . i guess its something to do with blackberry people.

please get rid of blackberry like i am going to do i had eough of it i had two replvcements under warranty and it still does it.better no phone or a dumb phone than blackberry
