If you device OS is prior to 220.127.116.116 then try Updating your device software OR simply Download BlackBerry World version 18.104.22.168 which is the best workaround now available for BlackBerry World , first uninstall any existing version of BlackBerry world from your device from : Options > Device > Application Management > Locate and delete BlackBerry World , then perform a Battery pull restart .
After reboot from your BlackBerry Browser browse to or Click here http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/en
KB29422 BlackBerry App World icon is missing after upgrading to BlackBerry App World 22.214.171.124 to 126.96.36.199.

You are most welcome and regarding Update , If you Carrier has released any recent OS you can try it Or have to use any other Carrier's OS pack . But if you don't have any issues with your device I prefer remain on the same OS as you have now, I am sure soon a newer update will release for BlackBerry World which might fix this issue and also this version of BlackBerry World provides all those feature as the new one.
