app world won't load after latest update

Sometime today after updating to the latest build(1.0.3.1868) as well as latest bridge build and  app world will no longer load.  It just goes to the colorful page and never starts up completely.  Is it down?  Are others experiencing this?  I've shut down and started again and have also done a restart with no difference.

Having the same issue. After the update. The only thing that comes up on the Playbook is the background for Appworld, nothing else.

 

Did the swipe to show keyboard and typed RST. But that has not worked.

Neither has turning the Playbook off for over an hour or restarting the Playbook.

 

Tried accessing Appworld via Internet Tethering and got an error saying that I need to be connected via a Network and to turn on my Wifi.

 

This is starting to get a bit frustrating.

same here;App World does not load anymore.....after upgrade....

HI lesia

 

Appworld can only be accesed via wi-fi.   Tethering is not supported.

 

However this issue with appworld has been going on since the new update 1.0.5.2304

Solution to date:

 

Install the newest Blackberry Desktop Manager 6.1

 

Connect the Playbook and it should show up as a Device - You can back up your data, etc.

 

Disconnect the Playbook from the Desktop.

 

Settings >> Security >> Security Wipe

 

Let the Playbook reboot and download an update approx. 78megs

 

You will have to run through the set up again.

I have two Playbooks and neither of them will load app world.  I have done multiple security wipes and still no luck.  I have tried security wipes and restarted them in differrent networks etc still app world starts to open and about 1/3 ofthe blue bar comes up and it dissapears and nothing happens.  I tried to open the Angry birds "get the app" advertisment and it goes to untitled web page in a new window and never displays anything.  Very frustrated about Blackerry not producing good software for the people left using thier stuff.

I have same issue don't know what to do to fix the solution on this page did not work for either of my playbooks.
