att email 8110 synch problem

After returning from vacation, all 300+ emails are still on my phone in spite of the fact my inbox is clear.

After returning all emails before vacation are syncing normally. 

Is there a way to 'select all' emails on the phone for deletion?

To delete ALL emails, open the messages folder > scroll to the topmost date bar (today, or to any date bar) and press Menu > Delete Prior.
