I have bought a second hand blackberry bold 9780 and want to go back

Would that be a problem? Will i be asked for passwords or pincode?

Thank you.

Hi wfmeyer

Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums

If you bought a used device then it is always advised to perform a security wipe before using it . Currently are you getting the prompt  to enter the device password ?

Re: back to factory settings

Thank you for your promt reply Prince2012

I have selected the following  for emptying the  device:

1-Emails, contact persons etc

2-The by the user installed applications

3- Mediacard

I have translated the above from Dutch into English as good as possible.

Then i have to type: "blackberry" to empty to confirm.

Is this all right so far?

Look forward to your reply.
