Re: battery or phone?

yes, ive tried my car charger, wall charger and usb cord..all the same. i even did a reload of the software but that wasnt it...could it be something in the charger port itself?

Re: battery or phone?

Yes, you could have a USB port problem.

When you connect the BlackBerry to the USB >> to the PC, does it show connected in Desktop Manager?

Re: battery or phone?

lovemybb,

From what i understand so far: you've replaced your battery, you've tried multiple charging cables/connections and you're still having the same issue?

Your last resort should be to wipe the device back to factory defaults (after backup) and see if with a clean BB it still does the same thing. If so .. its a hardware issue with the actual device.

Re: battery or phone?

i did a wipe of everything and still nothing. so since it could possibly be a hardware issue...what can i do? or is my only resort to replace the phone?

Re: battery or phone?

You guessed it right....it must be a hardware issue. In that case replacement is the only available option for you.

Re: battery or phone?

If the Desktop Manager recognizes the PIN and device model, I honestly don't think it is hardware issue, or a bad USB port. Otherwise, it would not see the PIN and model.

I'd still try a different charger. A different wall outlet.

or, try this:

Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the USB cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage).

Maybe that will help.
