bbm 6.2 not getting messages issue

Hi, I have stopped receiving messages few days after upgrading to 7.1.0.342 (1149). It is important to note that bbm was working after the bbos upgrade!

intrying to resolve since then  have upgraded to bbm 6.2.0.44 (from 6.1.0.55 afair).

my meesages are received, i am getting "d" notification. never an "r'". Users are sending me messages, they get "d" and i am never getting them from none of my peers.

I have rebooted several times, i have tried deinstalling and reinstalling the bbm via bb desktop software. nothing seems to work. I do not want to go again via wipe and reinstalling the BB OS (last update failed several times).

bbm is my most used messenging for business and personal, and this is MAJOR issue for me.

any proper advice?

And before recommending me how to do proper restart, yes, i know how, and i am doing it properly. I have noticed other people experiencing same issues being recommended installing 6.2.0.50, however, my appwrold shows my current version .44 as latest.

Re: bbm 6.2 not getting messages issue

I don't know where you're are or your mobile provider (seems you placed your personal phone number in your Profile under "Mobile Provider"), but I'd say be patient, seems there could be some data delay on your mobile provider, perhaps.

I don't think deleting and reinstalling BBM again will help you, just waste more resources. You could resend you service books.

1) Register HRT: (OS5) Home Screen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Scroll to any line entry and > press the Menu key > and then click Register Now. If you have an OS 6 or OS 7 device, Look at Options > Device > Advanced > Host Routing Table, etc.

2) Resend Service Books: Article ID: KB02830 How to send the service books for a BlackBerry Internet Service account. http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830

3) Then, with the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

You should call your mobile provider and inquire.

Re: bbm 6.2 not getting messages issue

i did even before opening the case. they've told me bbm is standard application and they can do nothing, offered me to send the service books (no effect), and then advised me to wipe the  handset, or provide it to them for repair. the handset is obviously ok, so their reaction is inadequate.

So, what's next?

OK, then here is what you need to do... Call your provider and TELL them, demand, that they escalate this unresolved case to RIM's tier two level tech support.

Don't back down, make sure they escalate this case to RIM.
