blackberry 9550/9520 diferece?

hello

 

i live in holland and want to buy a blackberry 9500 series ive now found an inport model of the 9550 (instead of the 9520 they sel in holland) i was wondering with this inport model can there be any isues with the functions on the blackberry who might not work because its an inport? anyone know anything about this or is there no reason i coulndt buy the 9550?

The only difference in the two devices is that the 9550 works on GSM and CDMA networks.

The 9520 works only on GSM.

so there would be no problem with the mobile internet the gps module or anything else? and what about warenty if the blackberry breaks do i have to ship it back to the states to get repaired?

Both devices have GPS.

There will not be any warranty on the device UNLESS you purchase the device from an authorized retailer and maintain service from that seller. If you buy the device used or from an unauthorized retailer, no warranty.

 

Personally, I would highly recommend that you get the 9520 which is local to Europe.

The problem with the statement about CDMA is this link to a 9520 sold for Japan.. the specs are in English, but most of the content is in Japanese.  9520 link - http://www.expansys.jp/rim-blackberry-storm2-9520-black-192249/   If 9520s couldn't do CDMA, they certainly seem to be able to now.
