blackberry 9900 dies!!! help me please

i m having some trouble with my 9900..  yesterday the phone died completely when i was in the car because i was running low on battery. for the first time i connected my car charger to the bb and no response. when i came home i connected on the wall but no response again. where i realise it wasnt charging i removed the battery and inserted again so the phone swiched on and started charging. when i removed from charger at half battery the device swiched off after a minute or less.. it wasnt starting again. the only way to start it now is to hav the charger on it and remove/ replace the battery.

i went to the shops today  and got a brand new battery original because i thought i might had damaged the battery by connecting it to the car charger  and then when i placed the battery, i didnt plug the charger on it. it was 24%. after 5minutes the phone died again and now i had to do same thing. as long as i remove charger it switces off!!

what do i do?

i didnt have any software updates recenlty.

Re: blackberry 9900 dies!!! help me please

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):

  1. With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
  2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
  3. Remove the battery
  4. Wait 15 minutes
  5. Insert the battery
  6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does

This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.

It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:

  1. Obtain a known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
  2. Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens

The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. The "new" battery you obtained does not quite meet the "known good" conditions...while rare, a new battery certainly could be defective.

Good luck and let us know!
