blackberry 9900

having serious problems when trying to charge my blackberry, all that happens is the plugged in icon appears on my battery but the lightning bolt doesnt appear to charge, has anyone got a solution with for this?? or do we just return the handset? ive only had it for 4 months so it shouldnt be like this already?

I'd first suggest that you try a different electrical wall outlet, a different charger or even a different battery.

 

IF you connect your BlackBerry to a PC with the BlackBerry Desktop Software running, do you see the electrical charge symbol AND does your BlackBerry show as connected (with the PIN appearing) to the Desktop Software?

When I plug it into my laptop it just comes up with the plugged in icon, the lightning bolt comes on for about 5 seconds then goes away.
