Re: blackberry ID problem

Here is the TEMPORARY solution I found 3 weeks ago that works for appworld.

Delete AW 2.0, then go here to download and install v1.0.0.35. Follow the instructions on that page. This version does NOT require BBID.

I've had no problems downloading new apps, no probs updating installed apps.

Again, this is only a TEMP solution until AW2.0 is fixed properly.

Re: blackberry ID problem

I recieved my new curve yesterday and created a BB ID yesterday with the same problem, I have tried;

Using an alternate email address and creating a new ID

Resetting the old BB ID's password

And attempting for a very frustrating hour and a half to find and accept all the terms and conditions thrown at me...

...HELP ME!

For an idiots sake would you mind, please detailing what the second step of your advice involves?

Re: blackberry ID problem

At this time most of the solutions don't work. You'll need to contact your carrier and have them escalate your case to RIM for assistance.

No problem, escuse my ignorance though, but by contacting my carrier whom do you mean? My provider? And who or what is RIM?

Re: blackberry ID problem

Your wireless service provider. Who do you pay monthly for your service? Contact them. They can escalate the case to Research in Motion (RIM). RIM is the manufacturer of the BlackBerry device.

Re: blackberry ID problem

Thank you for the explination, its appreciated. I'll contact Vodaphone and see what they can do about the issue, even if it is only to pass on the buck to RIM.
