Last week I bought a bold 9700 it seemed to be working then as it turned on ok. It was however not used since so the battery died. Sincee yesterday I have been trying to charge it and power it on to no avail all I am getting is the red light flight double flashing continuously. Please help.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Contrary to older technologies, these batteries actually do not like to be fully drained...doing so has been known to damage them, including rendering them useless. But, there are some things you can try...
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.

It is also possible that your BB is simply dead, but no amount of internet-distance diagnosis can truly determine that.
