I've had my Blackberry Bold 9790 for about a year now, and lately it has been rebooting itself up to 10 times a day;
When I use twitter sometimes it reboots itself, the same with any other internet based apps, also it tends to reboot itself 4 times before it works again.
Now, it has given me the dead battery sign twice, the first time I tried to download the OS 7.1 software and it seemed to work, but it stayed on the 7.0 software.
This time the dead battery sign is showing and the phone won't connect to my computer at all, my laptop registers that it's plugged in, but it doesn't connect properly, so it won't allow me to either restore my phone or download newer software.
I have also tried plugging it into the mains charger and then taking the battery out and putting it back in, the 4 hour solution and that hasn't worked either.
I was just wondering if anyone knew what I could do to fix my phone, before I use my last resort of taking it back into the shop.

I believe you already tried this...but just in case...pPlease try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB):
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem.
