call mute

I tried to make a call on my blackberry, but it kept going to 'mute' how on earth can I get out of this please

Have you already attempted reinserting your battery? If so, perform a reload or upgrade your BlackBerry Device Software to address the issue you are experiencing with your Mute button. For more information on this procedure see the following article:
