can't connect to wi-fi

I have been trying to set-up wi-fi network using wi-fi protected set-up,but it tells me that provisioning session has expired.What does that mean and what can I do?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

To use WPS, you must:
1) Press the button on your WiFi/WAP device
2) Select the configuration on your BB for WPS setup

You must do all of that within a limited timeframe...often not more than 2 minutes is allowed for WPS to remain active on your WAP. If you wait too long, the session will expire and your BB won't be able to find any active WPS sessions to attach to.
