can't wipe data through desktop manager

I am trying to wipe the data using desktop manager. I get the menu with "bakcup options" and "device data options" (the one with the option to wipe the personal data), but i cannot tick any of the boxes under "device data options", only the option to back up.

Re: can't wipe data through desktop manager

Hi and welcome to the forums,

The easiest way to wipe the Device is to go to OPTIONS SECURITY- CLICK TO ENTER- MENU KEY WIPE HANDHELD.

Make sure you have a good backup beforehand.

Thanks,

Re: can't wipe data through desktop manager

Thanks for the information on how to wipe it using the device...but, as the question states, and the title of this thread states, how does one go about wiping the data on the handheld using the desktop manager?

The two checkboxes where one should be able to check that indicates the data should be erased are disabled.  How does one go about getting those checkboxes enabled so the data can be deleted?
