changed mobile provider - no BB ID, push Email; whatsApp delayed

Hi there,


I've changed my provider (Vodafone DE to FONIC). Currently I've got a new phone number, due to a delayed porting request. Since I've changed, I'm able to do phone calls, send SMS and I have good access to the internet.

But all data servicesexcept SMS  seem to be very very slow. WhatsApp for example, sometimes is delayed up to 20 to 30 hours!

I'm also not able to change settings for Email-accounts or BlackBerry ID.


Any Ideas?

First refer to this KB Article :


KB03889 Changing the service provider or network


Please call your new service provider and let them know about this delay issue . In addition you can also try those steps :


1- Register your Handheld .

  • KB00510 : How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
  • Wait till a Registration messages comes in your message box.

2- Resend your Service Book

  • KB02830 : Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
  • ( Wait till a Registration Message comes in your message box for each email that you have configured on your device )

3-  Then perform a battery pull restart like this while the device is powered On remove your battery wait for a min. then reinsert it back



After reboot please check again.
