considering blackberry-need an answer first

Does anyone know if I can download an excel spreadsheet size 310 KB to a blackberry?  Would this work best on one type over another? Thank you for any advice you can provide.

Yes, you can download an Excel file and open it on a BlackBerry.  You need DocsToGo (premium edition I believe) in order to edit the file.  And you can save the file on a memory card.

Re: considering blackberry-need an answer first

I am new to the blackberry community and was wondering how to download excel spreadsheets onto my blackberry.  I have a Curve 8310 and do not have OS 4.5, do I have to purchase Documents to Go in order to put spreadsheets on my phone?  The files are fairly large, I don't know if this makes a difference.  Any help would be greatly appreciated I am completely in the dark as to how to accomplish this.  Thanks!

It is possible to install memory card to the blackberry device and use it as a usb-drive connected to your desktop computer.

Some version of Documents To Go is included in recent device OS updates.

Please note the following - if you have created this excel file on your desktop computer there is no 100% guarantee that this file will be opened and can be processed without problems. It depends on many factors - macros inside, some rich formatting, scripts etc.
