copy contacts to phone from a sim card?

I have an MTN contract but want to move the numbers off a vodacom sim card to my blackberry bold 9900.

I'd also like to know how to save data, pictures and contacts onto the data card in my phone.  Can anyone please help.

Re: copy contacts to phone from a sim card?

Hello...and apologies for the delay replying.

Hopefully you already have this sorted out, but just in case...

You might be able to put that VodaCom SIM into your BB and copy the contacts from it to the BB...see this:

  • KB03189 Import contacts from the SIM card to your contact list

You will have to be careful about messing up your services...you likely would be advised to turn all of your BB radios OFF when you do this.

As for saving data to your SD card, you can't do that with Contacts (they are required to be stored in the protected AppMemory area), but you can save some data and pictures to the SD card. Normally, inside of whatever application you are using (e.g., camera), there is a configuration setting (within the app options) to direct it where to store things. Otherwise, there might be a "save as" capability of your app, which would open the navigation screen through the BB file system, and you would direct that to wherever it is that you desire. Sorry but it's not possible to be more specific since the method would depend on the app you are using, and you were not quite specific about that.

Good luck!
