i have been trying to update my phone but it always sticks on "Smart Card Reader Option 1 of 1" and doesn't do anything after that so i have to always stop it.
HELP ME !!!

Mine too - whatever method I try and use to upgrade software on the 9360 crashes, EVERY TIME! The Blackberry Desktop Manager os worse than useless, takes about 10 minutes to boot up, then crashes during backups and upgrades. COME ON RIM! Sort this out! We pay a lot of money for your products and needsome help!

The following article will help you regarding the issue you are experiecing with backing up your BlackBerry® Curve™ 9360 smartphone:
"Error backing up databases" message is generated at Smart Card Options database when backing up the BlackBerry smartphone using the BlackBerry Desktop Software - http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB29522

Hi Guys im having issues, using the update option on the device im currently funning on OS V v18.104.22.1680 on MTN - South Africa - i select the Software Update option on the device, it checked for the up to date software, i selected V 7.1 Then Install now, but it gets stuck on Overall Backup Progress on 9%. im unable to exit the installation even when hardbooting the device... please assist urgently im going insane

Hi I'm having the same problem but instead I'm updating from my BB 9360 itself and its stuck at 12% which is frustrating because i also tried it from BDM and it was stuck for 20% but now I can't acess my phone at all because I'm updating straight from the device I'm so disgusted that a simple update will take hours upon hours I haven't seen any other screen besides the Overall Backup Progress: 12% please help me because I need to use my phone
