device software 4.5

Help!!! I own a blackberry curve 8320, I have the device software 4.5, I am trying to install it on to my phone but when i am doing a sync on the desktop manager its not detecting the upgrade.  My current service provider does not offer the upgrade so i had to get it from another carrier.  what do i have to do? i really want to upgrade to the OS 4.5.  any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Re: device software 4.5

If the OS you downloaded is not from your Carrier, or you got your device used and was originally from another Carrier, the Application Loader will see that the OS you have is not for the device's Carrier and won't offer to allow the upgrade.

Simply rename or delete the file:

"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\Vendor.xml", then start Desktop Manager and it should make the OS available. The OS you have MUST be for the 8320 - you can NOT use an OS for any other model! You can find the latest version OS for the 8320 here:

You should also use Desktop Manager version 4.5 or 4.6 - both available here:
