My Device: Torch 9800

e-mail and FB messages have stopped

3 email accounts - all from different providers (Work, Home and Hotmail)

BB is not receiving new emails and I can not send e-mails from any of the accounts

When I go to setup - EMail accounts (3) - I get "Checking for updates"  (3G full bars servcie also tried when the bb is picking up my home router)

After "Checking for updates" the bb message is "connecting to email settings" then "Your device had a problem connecting to the server."

First things first, start by doing a battery pull... While the device is on, remove the battery for 15-30 seconds, reinsert and wait for the device to reboot.

If that doesn't work, I would suggest contacting Rogers to make sure that everything on your account is set up as it should be, then ask them to resend your service books. Hopefully it was just something temporary and you're already back up and running though!
